Joe Burrow of the Bengals and Jalen Hurts of the Eagles are the top two players for the week.

 Joe Burrow and his Cincinnati Bengals triumphed against the Kansas City Chiefs in a big Week 13 game and repeat of the AFC Championship Game.


On Wednesday morning, when the NFL unveiled its weekly honor roll, Burrow once again stood out from the crowd, being named one of the Players of the Week alongside Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.


In the Bengals' 27-24 victory over the Chiefs, Burrow completed 25 of 31 passes (80.6%) for 286 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. Burrow, who beat Kansas City to improve to 3-0 (including playoffs) in his career, finished with a 126.6 passer rating, 46 running yards, and a rushing touchdown. The AFC Offensive Player of the Week award went to him.

Hurts maintained his remarkable season with another electrifying effort, scoring four touchdowns in all as his Philadelphia Eagles thrashed the Tennessee Titans 35-10 on Sunday. Hurts completed 29 of his 39 attempts (74.4%) for 380 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Hurts earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors by scoring his tenth running touchdown of the year.



In a 27-20 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, defensive end Chandler Jones of the Las Vegas Raiders had his finest game statistically of his debut season with the Silver and Black. Jones, who had only recorded one and a half sacks before to Week 13, went on a tear, recording three sacks, six tackles, two tackles for loss, and a pass breakup to earn AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Nick Bosa was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after helping the San Francisco 49ers defeat the Miami Dolphins 33-17. During his performance on Sunday, Bosa recorded three sacks, two tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.



One of the Cleveland Browns' major plays on the day, Donovan Peoples-Jones' 76-yard punt return for a touchdown against the Houston Texans, was the most thrilling. Peoples-Jones was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after his tackle-breaking return that helped the Browns score in their eventual 27-14 victory on Sunday.

Kicker Mike Badgley of the Detroit Lions was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. In a 40-14 thrashing of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Badgley scored 16 of the Lions' points. He made all four of his field goals and all four of his extra points.
